Important information about procedures for opening a new account at Cities Credit Union: To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents. We may also verify your identity through a credit report or other electronic verification systems.
Cities Credit Union is pleased to partner with CheckFree™ to provide members an upgraded electronic bill pay service through both our online and mobile banking channels. This state-of-the-art payment system has innovative, new functions that members will enjoy.
New features include (fees may apply for some premium services): • same-day payments • next-day payments • person-to-person payments with Popmoney™ • account-to-account (to another financial institution if you are the owner of both accounts) • direct ach payments • e-bills (bill presentment)
All members who already use our current bill pay system will be migrated automatically to the new system. Payees and vendors will be ready for use and scheduled payments should be uninterrupted during the transition to the new system.
Logging in: You will see the home page has a brand new look and feel. It displays your latest payments and the easy-to-use navigation menu.
Upgraded support: The Member Care Center handles all payment inquiries on behalf of CheckFree and Cities CU. Call toll-free 1-844-596-1510, 6 a.m. - midnight CT 7-days a week.
New to bill pay? Give it a whirl, win a gift card. If you have a checking account with us but have never tried bill pay, give it a try! It’s free to all members and is easy to use. This new system will show you how to set up and schedule payments through the step-by-step “Onboarding” function.
And, if you pay three bills per month for three months, you could win a $250 Visa® Gift Card (new users only).
Want to pay someone who doesn’t have an account at the credit union? Making person-to-person payments has never been easier. The Popmoney function makes that possible. You can send money directly to someone through Popmoney for a small fee per transaction fee. All you need is their mobile phone number or email. Directions will be sent to the recipient on how to claim the money from you. It’s that easy (and safe). The Popmoney home page will show you step-by-step how to use the function. You can also attach a greeting card message (birthday, wedding, new baby, etc.) to your transaction. Nominal fees apply.
